Southport
Exterior cleaning in Southport. Quoted on site.
Southport is the least uniform place we work, so we quote it as several suburbs at once.
Shopfronts and awnings along the older retail strips, service areas and car parks behind them, walk-up units on the streets running back from the water, and pockets of original post-war fibro untouched since the day they went up.
That last group is why the asbestos policy matters most here. Queensland's code of practice rules out high-pressure water on asbestos cement, and plenty of that stock still carries fibro cladding, fibro sheeting or a Super Six roof.
Where we find it, the surface gets washed at low pressure or left alone, and you hear it from us before anything starts.
Roof and gutter work here is house-scale and reached by ladder: a low-set roof and its gutters in the residential pockets, not a three-storey unit block or a strip-shop facade, which need a platform and a harness we do not run.
Commercial work has to respect where the water ends up: this side of town drains straight to the Broadwater.
Drain protection goes down before anything runs, and anything needing full wash-water containment we tell you about rather than hosing it to the grate.
What we look for here
- Retail strips, rear service areas, walk-up units and original post-war fibro.
- Fibro cladding and Super Six roofing are never pressure-cleaned.
- Roof and gutter work is ladder height only — not unit blocks, not shop facades.
- This side of town drains to the Broadwater — drain protection goes down first.
- Shopfronts and awnings are quoted around trading hours, not ours.
- Cleaning only — no coatings, sealing or restoration.
What we clean here
- Driveway cleaningConcrete, exposed aggregate and pavers back to an even colour, without the stripes.
- House washingSoft washing for render, Colorbond, weatherboard and brick — mould off, paint on.
- Roof and gutter cleaningSoft washed roofs and cleared gutters, reached by ladder — the growth killed, the downpipes flowing.
- Pool surrounds and patiosTravertine, pavers and tiled alfresco — the black line at the coping and the sunscreen film, gone.
- Fences and retaining wallsColorbond, palings, render and block — cleaned at a pressure that does not leave timber furry.
- Vegetation removalOvergrowth, self-seeded growth and vines cut back and taken away — including the large stuff most cleaners walk past.
- Commercial and body corporate cleaningCommon property, walkways and shopfronts — scoped in writing, scheduled out of hours, done the same way every visit.
- Pre-sale exterior washBooked back from your photography date. One invoice, before-and-after photos and a condition report for the file.
How we work
- We photograph the whole job before we start, damage included. You get the full set either way.
- Drains protected, plants covered, biodegradable products. Nothing we lift ends up in a stormwater drain.
- Roofs soft washed and gutters cleared from a ladder, single storey or second storey. No harness, no fall arrest, no elevated work platform.
- Wall washing is ground level, done with a telescopic lance. We don’t take on second-storey wall or facade washing.
- No high-pressure water on asbestos cement — fibro cladding, a Super Six roof, eaves, a pre-1990 fence. Queensland’s code prohibits it. Find it in Southport and we stop and tell you.
- Cleaning only. No coatings, sealing or restoration. That work needs a QBCC licence.
