- How large is large vegetation?
- Self-seeded saplings and trunks up to about the thickness of your arm, thick woody vines, and solid privet and lantana walls. If it can be cut and cleared from the ground, it is ours.
- How is a bigger tree handled?
- Many Gold Coast trees are protected by council vegetation protection orders or covenants. We check at the visit, and where a tree is protected or needs a climber, roping, work near powerlines or an arborist’s assessment, you get a straight recommendation and the name of the trade.
- How does ivy come off render?
- Ivy and creeping fig anchor into render with aerial roots, so ripping a vine off takes the paint film with it. We cut at the base, let it die back and release, take it off in sections, and show you on site first where root-pattern ghosting is likely to stay.
- What if there is old fibro under the vine?
- Pre-1990 fibro fences and Super Six sheeting are asbestos cement. We look for it on the walk-around, document anything we find or suspect in writing, and leave the sheet and the growth over it as found, so you can have it assessed.
- How are vines on the roof reached?
- From the ground, as far as the vine can be reached safely. Growth runs under tile laps, lifts edges and packs gutters solid, so it comes off before anything else happens up there.
