Who you actually get
No office, no call centre, no subcontractors. Will answers the phone, and Will is the one standing on your driveway.
We are new and there is no point pretending otherwise. Every job is photographed and quoted in person. Ring and ask what we did this week.
The method, in plain terms
Most of what makes a house look tired is alive. Algae, mould and lichen root into render, concrete and timber. Blasting the black off leaves the organism behind.
So the solution does the cleaning and the surface sets the pressure. Render, Colorbond and painted timber get soft washed. Concrete and pavers take a surface cleaner, worked evenly, so there are no stripes.
Roofs are the same idea and the strictest version of it. Soft washed at low pressure, never blasted, because pressure strips tile coating and blows out pointing. Gutters come out by hand into bags, then the downpipes get flushed.
We reach both off a ladder, single storey and up to a second-storey roof. Ladders are the whole method: no harnesses, no fall-arrest, no elevated platforms, no high-rise. Walls and facades stay ground level, washed with a telescopic lance.
Every job is photographed before, during and after, and you get the full set. The before shots record anything already cracked, slipped, lifting or perished. That damage set comes to you separately.
Asbestos
Plenty of Gold Coast houses built before 1990 carry asbestos cement: fibro cladding, eave linings, corrugated Super Six roofing, old sheds and fences. High-pressure water on it is prohibited under Queensland's asbestos code of practice.
So if we identify possible asbestos we stop and tell you. We soft wash at low pressure where that is appropriate, or we decline that part. The written position is on how we work.
Insurance
Our public liability cover is being put in place. Until the certificate exists we are not going to claim it. The standing position is on how we work.
Ask every contractor for the document, not the number.
Drains, plants and pets
Drains get covered, garden beds get wet down and rinsed after, and the products are biodegradable. We do not run vacuum recovery gear yet, so we do not take work that needs wash water captured off the ground.
Sodium hypochlorite is the active ingredient in soft washing. Diluted and rinsed, it is not a problem for established gardens. Keep pets inside until surfaces are dry.
Cleaning, not restoration
We clean. Roof cleaning is us. Roof restoration is not: sealing, coating, painting, re-bedding or re-pointing capping and replacing tiles is licensed building work under the QBCC and we do not hold that licence.
So if we see a slipped tile or a rusted valley from up there, you get a photo and a plain description to hand to a licensed roofer. Saying it costs us nothing and stops you paying twice.
Water
South East Queensland's permanent water conservation measures allow this work where it is done efficiently. We work off your tap unless you tell us otherwise.
One call does it.
We come out, look at the job properly, and give you a price on the spot.
