- How is the roof cleaned?
- Soft washed on tiles, terracotta and ridge capping: the solution kills the growth and the water only rinses. The surface coating on concrete tiles and the pointing on the ridge capping are protected, and the roof is left in the condition it was in.
- How high can you go?
- Every part of the roof that can be reached safely, worked out with you on the walk-around before anything starts. You hear at the quote exactly what is in and what we reach.
- What if my roof is fibro or Super Six?
- We look for fibro eaves and corrugated asbestos cement on the walk-around. Anything we identify or suspect is left as found and documented for you in writing. Testing and handling it is an asbestos assessor’s and removalist’s job.
- Who seals or paints the roof afterwards?
- Sealing, coating, painting, re-bedding and re-pointing are roof restoration, a roofer’s trade. We clean. Any slipped tiles, cracked pointing or rusted valleys are photographed and documented before we start, for you to hand to a roofer.
