Nobby Beach is only a few blocks deep, tucked between Mermaid Beach and Miami with the Gold Coast Highway running through the middle.
It is a short run down the highway from where we are based, so it is one of the quicker suburbs for a same-week quote.
The housing is a genuine mix: original low-set beach shacks on their original blocks, shoulder to shoulder with three-storey rebuilds in render and glass.
Two houses side by side can need two completely different methods, and the older ones get the asbestos question before anything is turned on.
Nothing here is far enough back from the sand to dodge the salt, so window frames chalk up, garage doors film over and the shaded southern walls green off first.
The side streets off the highway are narrow and the village strip around Lavarack Road fills up, so where the ute goes is decided while we are quoting.
What we look for here
- Close to base, so we can usually get here quickly for a quote.
- Beach shacks and new rebuilds share a street, so the method changes house by house.
- Pre-1990 fibro is soft-washed or declined, never pressure-cleaned.
- Salt reaches every block: chalked frames, filmed garage doors, green southern walls.
- Narrow side streets and a busy village strip, so parking is settled at the quote.

How we work
- We photograph the whole job before we start, damage included. You get the full set either way.
- Drains protected, plants covered, biodegradable products. Nothing we lift ends up in a stormwater drain.
- Roofs soft washed and gutters cleared from a ladder, single storey or second storey. No harness, no fall arrest, no elevated work platform.
- Wall washing is ground level, done with a telescopic lance. We don’t take on second-storey wall or facade washing.
- No high-pressure water on asbestos cement — fibro cladding, a Super Six roof, eaves, a pre-1990 fence. Queensland’s code prohibits it. Find it in Nobby Beach and we stop and tell you.
- Cleaning only. No coatings, sealing or restoration. That work needs a QBCC licence.
