What we look for here
- Side access decides the job, and the same gap is the route in.
- Post-war brick and fibro, with duplex rebuilds crowded onto the original blocks.
- Anything fibro — cladding, sheeting, Super Six roofing — is identified, left as found and documented in writing.
- Tile and metal roofs get a low-pressure soft wash.
- Gutters on the older places are short runs that overflow onto the path first.
- East-west streets running to the sand carry salt all the way back to the highway.

Salt and street layout
Palm Beach is long and thin, between the Gold Coast Highway and the sand, and the east-west streets running to the beach carry salt through to the back of it.
Blocks and side access
The stock is mostly post-war brick and fibro, with duplexes and rebuilds squeezed onto the original blocks, which is why side access is the first thing we check at the quote.
If the only route to the back yard is a 900mm gap with an air-conditioner halfway along it, we would rather know that with a tape in hand than at eight the next morning.
That same gap is the route in if the gutters are part of the job.
Asbestos and fibro
The older places get the asbestos question up front. Around here asbestos cement means fibro cladding, Super Six roofing and the odd fence panel, and whatever we spot is identified on the walk-around, left as found and documented in writing.
Roofs and driveways
Tile and metal roofs get a soft wash at low pressure. Driveways are often plain concrete poured in the sixties, and a clean lifts the growth and the grime.
How we work
- We photograph the whole job before we start, damage included. You get the full set either way.
- Drains protected, plants covered, biodegradable products. What we lift is kept out of the stormwater drains.
- Walls are washed from the ground.
- Fibro and asbestos cement — fibro cladding, a Super Six roof, eaves, a pre-1990 fence — identified on the walk-around, left as found and documented in writing.
- We clean. Coatings, sealing and restoration are left to the trade that holds the QBCC licence for that work.
